She comes back dragging a waist high object behind her…
Distracted by its odd shape, it takes you a moment to notice that is rolling on wheels.
“The man left this, and said that he programmed it to take you to him.”
As she leans down to turn it on, you suddenly see two little eyes, and after the waitress presses the power button, the creature spins around and speeds towards a back-door in the storage room.
It comes to an abrupt stop in the doorway, and slowly rotates its body back towards you, as if to say it was irritated that you hadn’t followed. You bid the waitress a hasty goodbye and chase after the robot. It shoots out of the restaurant in front of you, zooming down the white floor, that you almost forgot was waiting outside.
It’s hard to keep up, the robot seems to be going faster and faster, and you get so winded that you have to stop. The robot stops too sparking a realization that your Guide was simply matching the pace that you set, so after catching your breath, you continue at a walk.
It appears out of nowhere. There are small grey filings on the white floor by your feet. You continue to walk and notice the filings getting bigger and bigger, until you can different what the materials are, there are shards of sheet metal, chips of wood. As you keep walking the scraps keep getting larger until they have unique shapes, there are glass cubes, foam boards, and you halt when you come across some green plastic in the most irregular shape yet.
